why do people feel comfortable asking random people if they dom but not if they sub??? they're equally invasive but I wouldn't mind being asked the latter because *gestures wildly at media tab*

This morning we said goodbye to my baby, Himeko 姫子
For 14 and a half years I gave her a life where she was always happy, healthy, and strong. Even at age 13 she could jump three feet up into our bed. She loved carrots and apples and salmon. She could perform tricks to English and Japanese commands.

Kinda sad but when I post on the FFF account it's purely out of a commitment to what I started and has nothing to do with whatever my current mood is. Don't assume I'm fine just because I'm keeping the lights on there.

Not sure where the place for me is these days. I feel so disconnected from so many groups and individuals. Hurt too many times, too many conflicting interests, too much tension.

Based on improvements over the last two days (limbs no longer swollen, eating and drinking) I called and canceled Himeko's goodbye appointment for Friday. We're going to take it day by day for now, nurse her to strength, and make the call when it's more definite.

Really hard day. Crying constantly at work. But tonight we got Himeko to eat a good deal of salmon and chewy udon and all the swelling in her limbs is gone from the meds. So... I dont wanna call it yet. It's hard. I might try and keep going with her longer depending on how she does next day or two..

spent all night crying, couldn't sleep, had that thing where 5 seconds of a song are repeating in my head without stop. I don't even know where to turn to for comfort.

i might have to keep the goodbye appointment after all. things aren't going great for her. i'm so sorry, I don't know where else to talk about this. gotta do the best thing.
instead of waiting for the vet to get back to me, i called them again and got them to prescribe a medication that will hopefully get rid of the fluid in her system. if it works, she'll have more time. if not, I know what to do. I love her so much.
It seems like her heart is catching up to her... she's had a murmur and a leaky valve for years, she's full of fluid, and all the scans to confirm might only lead to a possible treatment that only gets a few months. I think I have to let her go soon...
