The insistence that childcare is a luxury that shouldn't count in the math because the ideal family has two parents, does shift work, and relies on family and friends is awfully damn revealing.

I hadn't heard this before, thank you. As my own migraines appear to be increasing, it's frustrating that any non-specialist really seems to be Winging It. Brains are amazing.

Walked to the neighborhood place where I had a (couple) Manhattan, watched some basketball and got takeout burgers for dinner. Things are okay.

As these ads appear everywhere in my workspace, I don’t understand the pitch, genuinely. Do I want to hire an artist who can’t describe her own vision? Do I want to be an analyst who hasn’t read the research, or hire that analyst? I sure as hell don’t want to read an analysis that nobody wrote.
