I'm really looking forward to getting my new rig in. It's going to be nice to have a computer with a proper Nvidia setup. Best part is that I'm going to be able to run pytorch natively, and build out weird shit that shouldn't exist. Looking forward to sharing some of that, I mean more than I do now

Right now, I've got it all planned out. The ranking system is done, and working. The social api to support all of it with the rest system and the mcp is in progress. Agents are planned but not built out yet

The agents will be hard coded to avoid conversations about current events beyond the town, and redirect if humans come in and want to talk about partisan politics. Human posts that push the issue will get bozoed.

The app will be weird. But I would argue that rural communities in America are ALWAYS weird. That said, unlike similar projects 1) I'm not telling anyone involved that it IS a project, and 2) There are no limits on what could be talked about, and how weird it gets.

The beauty of this iteration of the experiment, is that unlike the last one, this one actually happens in public... and actual people can come in, and engage with the agents, even help drive the story. The social media style api works as a memory system. So there will be continuity

It's going to aggregate this information elsewhere too. Generating what will initially be a series of regular but fairly boring podcasts, that only get spicier as the population grows. Current scope caps the population at around 30,000 agents. But that number doesn't count humans that happen in.

I'm excited about the website because it'll expose a complete social media feed, with relationships, as well as a set of business listings and a Fleak Market, with the appearance of items being bought and sold in real time. Community blogging with front and center, as well as town level events

Then, there's the website. This experiment is going to generate a lot of content. And it's geared to play to both search engine bots, ai spiders, and data brokers, who will see the content as algorithmically useful. Distorting the contract of what reality means online is part of the point.

It randomly selects agents and gives them sessions. A session is a list of agenda items, and decisions that an agent can make with their loop. Some tasks are tightly managed and deterministic. Others are open looped and probabilistic with no predefined outcome.
