Happiness is an empty beach, the wind in your ears, your best friend by your side, and 0/8 feet on the ground.

Also “Content & Privacy Restrictions” should be called “Content & Privacy Permissions” - misleading and confusing.

Fixed it! Steps:

Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > set to on and ensure CarPlay is enabled.

I also forced CarPlay and Bluetooth to forget the car, and did a restart of phone before connecting by cable. Not sure if those were necessary. It then connected and worked normally.

These toilets are either very inclusive or extremely specific.

Sadly they are not very aware of risks, and the parents let the chicks wander wherever they like. I've found too many squashed chicks on the road over the years.
