Happiness is an empty beach, the wind in your ears, your best friend by your side, and 0/8 feet on the ground.
A beach with two miniature schnauzers running side by side so fast that they are both in the air. Behind them are their paw prints, in groups of four widely spaced, showing their speed. Older brother Miles on the left is looking across at his little brother Eddie. Not shown but still obvious: my bursting heart.

Surely there was at least one long sniff of the pages, for the full joyful experience?

profiand.bsky.social
Ah yes, ruminants too, good point.

profiand.bsky.social
Funny how it can be both at once!

One of the worst euphemisms I’ve seen today.

[Posting from Australia]: Yes, it’s terrifying and it seems to be happening more and more.

Also “Content & Privacy Restrictions” should be called “Content & Privacy Permissions” - misleading and confusing.

profiand.bsky.social
Fixed it! Steps:

Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > set to on and ensure CarPlay is enabled.

I also forced CarPlay and Bluetooth to forget the car, and did a restart of phone before connecting by cable. Not sure if those were necessary. It then connected and worked normally.

profiand.bsky.social
I'm using Bluetooth for the moment but it's not the same experience.

profiand.bsky.social
Has anyone else found that CarPlay no longer works after changing to iOS 26?

These toilets are either very inclusive or extremely specific.
Photo of a symbol outside the toilets in a hotel foyer, showing a stylised human figure, split in half vertically, with the part on the right apparently wearing a dress, and the part on the left wearing trousers (I hope - or perhaps naked, hard to tell). The intention of the symbol is ambiguous. Possibly I am overthinking it…!

Related public service note: kids can spot the most minute differences between the goldfish they saw yesterday and the one currently occupying the tank. Don't even bother to try to hide goldfish mortality. They may however be (partially) convinced that some goldfish like to practise backstroke.

It's rude to chitter with your mouthparts full.

I don't know how some of these species survive at all. The nests of hooded plovers on Phillip Island are literally a scrape in the sand.

profiand.bsky.social
Sadly they are not very aware of risks, and the parents let the chicks wander wherever they like. I've found too many squashed chicks on the road over the years.

They’ve found Mount Isa. I repeat: Mount Isa is compromised.

Some of you don’t understand the phrase “knew the orders to be unlawful or a person of ordinary sense and understanding would have known the orders to be unlawful” and it shows.
