Agreed. Conference papers definitely. Editing a manuscript for ‘free’, fine. But if editing ends up with rewriting sections then you could potentially justify being an author and that’s where I think the inequity increases

In our trial of functional imagery training for weight loss, 4h of FIT led to over 6kg weight loss at 1y with no diet advice. Participants reported better mental health too. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

This is interesting but I’m wary of a buddying system as it is a way that native English speakers with many papers get even more. Akin to junior researchers having to put someone senior (usually male) on a grant application to prove track record

A question for policy makers and healthcare commissioners: given obesity and depression are closely linked, why do we treat them separately? Why don’t we start with person-centred approach to discover strengths and build motivation for self care?
