The exhibition Tired squares, chicken and broccoli by Sjoerd Tim revolves around seven large circles. These forms play a versatile role: at times serving as carriers of other works, as partitions or boundaries, and at times as artworks themselves. However, they relate to the space they inhabit in a strange way. The circles rhyme neither in form nor scale with anything in the existing architecture. Their disproportionate, almost eccentric presence makes it difficult to define them or pinpoint their exact relationship to the space. They resist being confined to a fixed role. Through their scale, form, and placement, the circles embody the idea of movement and temporality. They reflect not only the transience and nomadic nature of themselves and the exhibition but, in this case, also that of ps.kot. They are not fixed elements but migratory forms that continually forge new relationships with the space, the artworks, and the viewer.
