For me it was some comments on Sandy Hook that left a bad taste in my mouth, and I think it was Shannon Watts he wanted to annoy by openly carrying a massive rifle while shopping. Not good.

3K does get a fair bit. I'm still running the NAD 3020i I bought around 1993 with a couple of KEF Q300s and an REL Quake. Probably £600 worth!

It will phase itself out over time as more enlightened generations come along. The world changes faster than individuals of course so it'll take ages.

In software engineering we've mostly phased out the "master" branch within version control, for example.
