What's one silly thing I could do today?
I'm always kind, and I'm always learning, but I'm losing a lot of my silly factor to the sands of time. It's a muscle that I forgot how to exercise since I started working 9-5. Honestly I think that's the root of it for everyone right there!

Definitely get out of some servers that hold memories like that for you! It's freeing in a different kind of way. I highly recommend joining a few small community servers based on a hobby you enjoy rather than around any one game. Random - primarily gamer - individuals tend to be...extremely toxic

For these reasons I believe it's easier to be an indie dev in this ecosystem than a AAA dev. You have less resources to manage and less backlash for underperformance as a company - your profit margins are affected by the reception of your products a lot more, sure, but you charge a lot less for them

For the record Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is 3.50 right now on Steam, down 95% from its asking price THAT IT WILL RETURN TO

That being said there are also early access games that are pretty well-polished for the price point. You just have to look.
If a game is quality that is all that matters. For cheap you can get hundreds of hours out of Hollow Knight or Rain World. Or for 70 dollars you can play... suicide squad?

I've never ever seen a serious indie title priced higher than what it's worth. There is a lot of shovelware out there, clearly, but those aren't the devs worth paying attention to and they're a type that are easy to spot. Far more indie games are under rather than overpriced IMO

When legislation like this is passed against marginalized peoples, there is an extremely high correlation with suicide rates in affected groups. Making these REAL LIVE people into a somehow nationwide issue and legislating against them is genocide by proxy and I'm done being quiet about it, I guess.
