Former West Scotland MD Fiona Doherty will lead Stagecoach South Scotland which will bring together services in Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Fife, Perth and Kinross, Dundee, Tayside, and Angus under one umbrella.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Transport for Wales has introduced a new Family Ticket, which enables up to two children to travel for free with each paying adult.

The ticket can also be used on other train operator's services within the TfW network area.

Network Rail have confirmed a landslide at Shap, which resulted in the derailment of an Avanti West Coast Pendolino.

Statement from Avanti:

"At 06.10hrs today, 3 November, the 04:28 Avanti West Coast service from Glasgow to Euston was reported to have derailed at Shap in Cumbria.
LNER train crew and industry colleagues have been described as 'heroic' following a knife attack on board an Azuma train on Saturday 1 November.

A £3.6m upgrade at Filey station has been completed. Work has taken place to restore the historic roof at the Grade II-listed station, with infrastructure and architectural features revitalised.

The route is jointly operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and Deutsche Bahn.

🇨🇭 Swiss transport operator PostBus will launch a trial fleet of on-demand, autonomous electric vehicles in 4 regions of Eastern Switzerland in December.

🆕 Beaulieu Park station has opened on the Great Eastern Main Line, carrying its first commuters into London today.

Operated by Greater Anglia, it's the first new station on the GEML in more than a century, with trains reaching Liverpool Street in 40 mins.

CrossCountry have warned of disruption ahead of a second strike by members of the RMT union on 1 November.

📍 @serailway.bsky.social is introducing 3D maps at a further 70 stations in a bid to make navigation clearer.
