Today we got to formally start our project's study trip to Italy, as we held a seminar in Villa Lante, the Finnish institute in Rome. Wonderful presentations and discussions on nature in the pre-modern world!

Projektimme on tänä syksynä mukana TUCEMEMS:n yleisöluentosarjassa, jossa syvennytään ihmisen ja luonnon suhteeseen läpi historian.
Ensimmäinen luentomme on Turun kaupunginkirjastolla viikon päästä 27.10. Tule kuuntelemaan ja oppimaan antiikin maailman moninaisesta suhteesta metsiin!

Day one saw us warmly welcome at University of Lapland. The conference's theme is "Human/Nature – Entanglements in Cultural History", looking forward for the many presentations and discussions this week!
