Here's the thing, the games I had the most fun playing this year both feature a silent protagonist. I deeply and wholeheartedly wish they didn't. With the sole exception of Link Hyrule, silent protagonists have got to go. I am begging devs, give the MCs a voice. Your stories will improve

It really sucks that the general sentiment around Time Strangers for a lot of new players is that Pokémon sucked and this is better. Not because I feel for Pokémon, but because the Digimon fandom has spent years trying to separate from the Pokémon comparison.
