Underrated hypno thing: Absolute focus on the hypnotist, trained usually. Say their name? They keep paying attention to the hypnotist. Wave a hand in front of them? No reaction. Touch them? They are fully zoned in to their hypnotist. They're just ignoring EVERYTHING else.

Underrated hypno thing: Absolute focus on the hypnotist, trained usually. Say their name? They keep paying attention to the hypnotist. Wave a hand in front of them? No reaction. Touch them? They are fully zoned in to their hypnotist. They're just ignoring EVERYTHING else.

I think I just messed things up with one of the very few people who seemed interested in hypnotizing me regularly without expecting me to switch. Merry Christmas to both of us I guess, and a lesson learned: No important conversations after midnight.

This is why I always caution against single- action clicker training. Conditioned responses can be context-independent! There are definite potential consequences to using clickers to reinforce single specific responses, like barking or cumming. Use clickers carefully!

Hypno is awesome. Pickup play can be super fun too in the right environment. But if you can’t exercise good subject agency when necessary or appropriate… a lot of the cutesy fun stuff gets genuinely risky really fast.
