Americans were not anti-fascist. They were drawn into the war by Japan (which, by the way, was functionally fascist).

All of this raises the question, why are you working so hard to say that the US was NOT anti-fascist?

I have (stupidly) engaged with some of these people online. They are trying several lines of “reasoning”:

Americans were not fighting fascism in WWII because the Nazis were not fascists. They were socialist, says so right in their name!

They continue to be anti-anti-fascist. MAGAs are trying soooo hard to say either a) Nazis were not fascist, they were socialist, because it’s right in their name; or b) American troops weren’t antifa because they were drawn into the war by Japan.
