Kristoff: “can I peel it off?” Stefan: “no.” Kristoff: “what’s it like?” Above the panel is the text “S L E E P I N G W I T H E Y E S O P E N.” Stefan lays in bed, his pupils are shiny, mindless, and circular. Kristoff shudders nervously, his back turned to the viewer. They share a blanket. The letters “z z z” trail above Stefan’s head. Stefan has his arms crossed over a table and paper. In his left hand is a cigarette. As he stares absently to his right, he rolls a pencil back and forth. A rain cloud with the words “F R E U D L O S” dangles above him. There’s a sticky note and a notepad in front of him, and a desert background behind him. To the bottom right of the panel, there is a rat with the dialogue “hmm… you sometimes remind me of somebody.” A depressed donkey that suspiciously looks like an iconically well-known figure is sitting at a table. A cigarette is in its mouth as it writes on a paper. The background is a bright checkered pink, and the rat is abstracted to the left of the panel with the dialogue “Ah! Yes!” Within the panel, Kristoff stares at Stefan. He is hunched beneath the umbrella, Stefan glancing back at him. Kristoff tells Stefan “love, you make me think of a sad donkey.” On the table, more notebooks are pushed to the side, and several makeshift railroad houses can be seen in the background. Below the panel is a snake and a rat.
