Godot 4.6 dev 3 completely overhauls SSR and the impact it's had on the overall visuals in the engine is insane.

This is one of the biggest leaps forward the engine has taken visually in a while!

We made a new GDScript Formatter for Godot 4, written in Rust: www.gdquest.com/library/gdsc...

It runs fast enough to use on every save on a laptop.

Please give it a try, and let us know if you encounter any issue!
I think what makes outdoor spaces interesting is feeling like they're vast and have life/purpose. The same can be done with indoor, the difference being that you aren't trying to give "vastness" but still alive/having purpose. Everyday objects, room with a theme, etc.
Isn't that the whole Pikachu plot point
Oooh i see. I had a somewhat similar system, moved to include and manual shader variants because I wanted to keep the combination under control
Shader includes are really cool but be prepared for unreal compiling shaders if your include is included in a bunch of shaders lol (I made a proposal to disable auto compilation)
Games do take long to make indeed :D keeping your enjoyment and motivation up is more important than any hard skill when you're learning
Other people already mentioned. Making games is already hard enough on it's own, you should use the tools you're most comfortable with. Do try unreal and see what you click with the most! It's an investment now that will possibly spare you a lot of pain later
