People need to call and tell their county officials that, if they are using voting systems from Dominion/Liberty, they have to consider the systems from that company to be rigged from now on and that they need to switch to one of the alternatives.

The government is in full shutdown and the Republicans are refusing to call the House back into session.

Want to know why?

Because we have secured the final vote on releasing the Epstein Files and they don’t want it out.

Call GOP and tell them to swear in @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social.

Just a friendly reminder, all posts calling for a general strike should include this link: generalstrikeus.com
On the 18th, the organizers at each event need to share the URL with those in attendance.

They need to continue hearing from people! Keep those calls coming in, folks! #SHUTDOWN #DONTFUNDFASCISM

Every day MAGA Mike Johnson refuses to swear in Adelita Grijalva he is disenfranchising voters in #AZ07

Republicans try to suppress votes, rig elections and overthrow election outcomes they don't like
quantumowl.bsky.social
This is completely unacceptable! @50501movement.bsky.social please get the word out and tell people to call their reps to demand that Rep-elect Grijalva be sworn in at once!

Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.

So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.

What’s in the anti-DC bills moving today:

Take over DC’s Attorney General’s office
—blocking accountability for Trump
Strip power from DC’s elected leaders
Undermine DC residents’ right to govern their own communities

Call (202) 224-3121: Tell your Representative to oppose all anti-DC bills.

4/ Get on the phone and call your reps right now! Light up that switchboard like Times Square on Christmas! In addition to the option of calling your rep, there is a Resistbot petition here: resist.bot/petitions/PA...

3/ In case GOP reps are confident that they are not potential targets, they should consider that an algorithm trained to spot potential terrorist connections will be looking for *checks notes* photos indicating ownership of military-grade assault weapons.

2/ This model will use opaque pattern-matching processes to flag people for reasons that may be completely inexplicable from a human perspective. People on the right who have called for the release of the Epstein files are also potential targets, which is something to tell GOP reps.
quantumowl.bsky.social
1/ Important to note that they almost certainly won't be sifting through people's data by hand to select their targets; instead, it will likely be done by a stupid, hallucination-prone large language model.

I realized that, what is it he did that you are referring to?
quantumowl.bsky.social
Are you talking about?
quantumowl.bsky.social
That's the idea. The point of what I suggested is to get a bunch of spineless bureaucrats to show courage and preserve accurate accounts of history.

2/ the second - find names of Smithsonian administrative staff and petition local businesses to refuse them service, kind of like how that perogy restaurant refused service to Dershowitz.

1/ Two suggestions for how to apply pressure: The first - set up artistic displays just outside the building as substitute exhibits for the ones the Trump is trying to remove;

When you say fail, do you mean the DOJ's argument will not hold up?
quantumowl.bsky.social
That claim is coming from dubious sources, mainly right wing outlets like Faux News. It sounds like they are deciding next steps now that the special session in TX is ending.
quantumowl.bsky.social
That loser000 account seems to be a MAGA troll. I recommend blocking.

I don't think anyone is pretending that the protests alone are sufficient. Lots of people realize the urgency of the moment and are working to stir others into action. Pay attention to the people who are doing that work and help them in their efforts.
quantumowl.bsky.social
Lots of people are mobilizing, and working to get others mobilized as well. The corporate media is just failing miserably in terms of covering it.
quantumowl.bsky.social
I don't think your statistics are likely accurate. Lots of people do care, but they may incorrectly assume that they are the only ones who care, so they feel isolated and overwhelmed. Fortunately, there is a great effort underway to train people on how to mobilize: www.nokings.org/rise
quantumowl.bsky.social
More broadly, the most important step right now is to shift social norms toward resistance. Protests can help with that by building a narrative, attracting media attention, creating memorable images, and bringing together people from all backgrounds.
