Hey I donβt know who needs to hear this but you can just say Deaf. Deaf isnβt a bad word? Why do we jump through hoops to say anything except Deaf or even Disabled?

Especially when VRI freezes, the tablets arenβt charged, thereβs longer wait times, theyβre already in use and I have to wait a half hour for it to be available, the internet is spotty, and overall- theyβre never high quality or even work. VRI cannot and should not replace in person interpreters.

The medical offices switch from βLetβs make sure to schedule an ASL interpreter because the appointment is in 2 months and the patient literally needs oneβ

When I used to work in early Ed elementary- it got to the point where I had to give every child a daily tape allowance. If you used all your pieces early on- you had to wait until the next day. It solved some class room issues over the obsessive amount of it lol
