Welcome to Quick Fix Reviews! We keep our reviews nice and short! Mainly music reviews! Please keep in mind that we only listen to each album once before writing a review, so take everything we say with a truckload of salt.
DC x Fortnite: Batman: This is certainly a crossover of all time. Time for a bit of a Compliment Sandwich. The art for this short series is really good. It finds an amazing blend between a DC and Fortnite art style. That’s the end of compliment time for now. The writing is very meh. The idea is cool

Song of the Month goes to: my own. by shteppi and BLCKK. A melodic love song about barriers, whether it’s physical distance or an emotional difference. It’s a great twist at the end of a pretty aggressive album. Overall, 9.5/10.

CRASHDUMMIEZ! by BLCKK and ISSBROKIE: The girl is back with a friend. To wrap up this month it’s another great BROKIE project. BLCKK and BROKIE work so well together over beats that range from light melodic beats to heavy hard hitting instrumentals. On that topic, most of the songs here are speaker

Smile Fight by Golemm: This is definitely Hideki Naganumas reheated nachos, but that’s been a thing forever. This album is straight groovy funky Drum n Bass beats that feel like grinding rails and hitting tricks in the beautiful sun. All of these songs can be slapped in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk with no

GRIP by serpentwithfeet: Sexy RnB jams all the way down. Some very light EDM influences here and there. Serpent’s vocals are absolutely beautiful and he’s truly in his element both sound-wise and writing-wise. This album is inspired by the gay nightclub experience and the sounds that come with it.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves by beabadoobee: This is an incredible collection of tracks. beabadoobee’s voice weaves through all of these songs so well through the solo ukulele or acoustic guitar or full band electric instrumentals. Even her singing alone is just absolutely amazing. Everything to make

Count Up Dracula by Jaydes: This album is everything “Eh” about pop punk/punk rock. Everything is just done too much, the vocals are a little too nasally, the drums are a little too eclectic, the guitars are drenched in distortion that make them sound crusty and dirty. This was a very middling

Gemini Rights by Steve Lacy: Sexy grooves and romantic lyrics clash with rock influences to make ‘Gemini Rights’ a truly entrancing experience front to back. As is the idea of a Gemini, the sounds here are two sided, but still work together to make a beautiful result. This album boils down to a

dvmb fvcks by d_goods: A dark, gritty modular experience. All of the music on this album was made using one modular synth rig. ‘dvmb fvcks’ brings an amazing drumless sound, only needing its own melodies to fill the void. If there’s a comparison to be made, it would be Death Grips instruments.

SWAGGOT! (B SIDE) by ISSBROKIE: Immediately this is better than first ‘SWAGGOT’. Minus the 11 minute intro, there’s like one miss, an it’s ‘FALALA’, so it’s a little trip right at the beginning but everything else hits. The range of style that ISSBROKIE shows is impressive from glitchcore, to

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2: I went in with some mid expectations and still walked out quite impressed. The acting is great, the interactions between all of the characters work so effortlessly. Matthew Lillard still stands out as William Afton, knowing how to carry himself as a killer, his history

MY FIRST UNTITLED by DIRTYBUTT:
This is a really fun set of hyperpop songs in the lane of other albums like ‘1,000 gecs’. Big 808s carry most of the beat with some trap hi-hats to keep a rhythm and flow going on each song. If you’ve come for a lyrical

Lacey’s Flash Games(Demo): Yes, I’m reviewing a demo for a game that doesn’t drop until next year. This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever played. It is pretty much what it says on the cover, a game translation of Lacey’s Games with more content somehow.

Mickey 17(dir. Bong Joon Ho): This was amazing. I generally knew what U was getting into with clones and being in space, but I did not expect the plot to go how it did. This is a great film about the morality and philosophy of making clones of dead people. Robert Pattinson is continuing to prove and

Breach by Twenty Øne Pilots: The fourth act of the Trench is here, and it sounds pretty good. TØP once again proves that they can continue to make great music. This album makes a really great example of a balance of alt-rock. Never too heavy, but it’s never light either. That does lead to the major

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: I don’t understand why people hate this movie. Everything about is so good. The acting is on point for the whole movie, Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim is an absolute genius choice. The visual effects are absolutely amazing, and star almost as heavily as the actors.

What No One’s Thinking by AJR: Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I don’t understand how these fuckers are the face of indie pop. Continuing with their previous albums they’re 30 somethings singing like they’re still 17. Lyrically it’s so egotistical and boring, Adam just sings about himself the whole time, but in

Near the end of year. Probably mid-December, I will make a post recapping my favorite music from this year. Potentially worst, but we will see.

FNAF 1 REMAKE: Holy shit. I’m a little late to this one(as always), but I really don’t care. Coming back to anything FNAF in a good while, this was very nice. The gameplay is close enough to original FNAF 1 that anyone who’s even seen gameplay can pick it up easily. There’s a few changes, but it

Vanisher, Horizon Scraper by Quadeca: Album Of The Year. 10/10.

WHERE IS MY HEAD? by Rich Brian: This was such a sonic smack to the face. I wasn’t ready for what would happen in the slightest. It’s been 6 whole years since Rich Brian’s last album ‘The Sailor’. The amount of growth is absolutely spectacular. The use of acoustic sounds across this project is

HYPERYOUTH by Joey Valence and Brae: WASSUP WASSUP! This crushed all of my expectations, and they were already pretty high after ‘NO HANDS’. We get a mix of some absolute crazy bangers and deep tracks about wanting to be young again. The title fits the feeling of this album through and through.
