Ohio Feminist Poet. Chapbook "The Beautiful Thing" available at https://a.co/d/dcD5o2S. More at karenquickley.net.
Additionally, I've redesigned my website! Learn a lot more about me and take a look at karenquickley.net/about

This site is made possible by BookBub! I switched from the Authors Guild to BookBub because it is so much less expensive. Plus, better design options from my perspective.

Although it is best to support your indie bookstores, I truly recommend self-publishing through Kindle Direct Publishing. This week I changed my A+ marketing content as follows. This is just one feature on the KDP platform for authors. #KDP #karenquickley #thebeautifulthing #poetry #womensliterature

So I turned 50 last month, and now I've got another milestone: got my second Amazon review of my first chapbook "The Beautiful Thing." Yes, it was my sister who wrote it, but it's still an honest and authentic review! #KDP #thebeautifulthing #karenquickley #ohiopoet #ekphrasticpoetry #womenpoets

Beneath the gleaming name of Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” lies a ruthless blueprint for starving, separating and silencing the most vulnerable children.
The Ugliest of Bills: How Republicans' Reconciliation Bill Endangers All Children

I can't afford a poetry website with The Authors Guild anymore, and I'm really pleased to have discovered BookBub's website service. Since my only book is just an ebook for now, it's very fitting to have switched. Very happy with my new website. Curious cats? Here you go:

Yes--Quickley is my literary pseudonym. I was born a Schnurstein and continue to bear this tricky and unusual (even in Germany) surname. The meaning of Schnurstein is "string stone" (long story). If you'd like to know more about me and my poetry, go here:

For my second post here, I'm going to fire up some self-promotion. Many of my publications seem to have gotten lost in the shuffle in my Facebook and LinkedIn networks, and my new website just focuses on my chapbook. But here's the poem teased on my cover here, many thanks to t'ART Magazine!

Greetings, fellow earthlings! Find me here please...Presently looking for familiar faces...Please weigh in on my chapbook cover. I was really brave (or boorish) and asked one of the artists to do my cover for me--haven't heard back yet. Here it is...too pale, right? a.co/d/hoStckx
