Robo Mantis is complete! I really enjoyed making the robotic insects in CGC's Bug Bots course and decided to make my one entirely on my own using the methods they teach. Not much space in a mantis, but I made do.

Robo Mantis is complete! I really enjoyed making the robotic insects in CGC's Bug Bots course and decided to make my one entirely on my own using the methods they teach. Not much space in a mantis, but I made do.

Blender automatically saves backup files!
They are those ".blend1" files you see next to the files your working file. They're no different from regular files, Blender will happily open them if you want to! You can get Blender to save more than just 1 at "Preferences > Save & Load > Save Versions"

Going to visit family for the holidays so no #blender updates for a while. Here is an ancient render I made back in 2022, I believe. It turned out quite well considering how bad the topology was, but I didn't know better back then.
