Any UK #DND nerds or potential UK DND nerds in my network can find me on Discord, if they really must ⚔️🛡️🏹🧤✨📜

I've spent ages in the app and can't find a link to share yet (will rectify) but you can find me if you really need to 😊👍

Look for "elbecuardo" or "Becci the Palabard"...

Experiences of awe and wonder seem to help us somehow gain perspective, requantify things and - I think - help us use our senses to anchor us in our own world. Awe is a great way for me to exploit my sensitive senses, instead of blocking them out. What generates awe for each may be different...

How can slow be faster than fast? Huh?
Well, "slow can be fast" is one of my own principles and it helps me to remember/allow myself to take the path I need to at tough times when I am frustrated. I wrote about it in my newsletter, which is here for those who want to see. eepurl.com/i8MdqI

What do you mean, slow is fast? 🤪

Unidentified warm bright object!
A few days of sun and my mood and motivation are noticeably up. Light levels do interact with neurotransmitters, which is new knowledge for many of my coachees.

This is my mini me (my character mini). For years, I wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons but couldn't find people to play with. Now I have, and it's been affirming, inclusive and a lot of fun. I am learning to run games, and am looking at the psychological benefits for ADHD/autistic folks and

I have a newsletter...I didn't send it out over the deeper winter period but I'm firing it up again from next week. It's for #adhd and/or #autistic adults based in the UK. I write about the lived experience and psychology/wellbeing lens of being an AuDHD adult. I often include self-coaching or...

Cold water?
We usually either love it or hate it. What you feel about cold water is part of your sensory profile - something we all have & specific to us. If you are later-discovered #autistic, it can be useful to map your sensory profile so you know what to mitigate/have more of.
January 21, 2025 at 6:01 AM
Knowing my sensory profile makes it easier to regulate myself. I'm under-sensitive to cold so I enjoy it. Sometimes sitting in the cold for a while is a form of stimming that helps me feel alert. I love frosty mornings in particular. What about you, as we all have different profiles. #Autism #AuDHD

As I'm talking music, there's a thing I and some of my clients do: Make playlists of different emotions/groups of emotions that you want to work through or feel more of. I have joy playlists. I have awe playlists. I have stuff that makes me cry so I can when I need 😊 Not for all but some like it 👍

After many years, the lesson has finally gone in that I feel good when I sing and listen to music, and feel rubbish for when I don't. I've been keeping charged chunky headphones by my bed and I put loud music on when I wake up, and it's getting me going really nicely in the morning.

If you're feeling burned out (I'm noticing a few people are due to the time of year), I made a short podcast on #AuDHD & #burnout a while ago. It's 15 minutes long and contains some optional considerations for things that may be useful for feeling better in time.

Meet Striker Thunderscale, my high rizz scholar-paladin alter-ego from Dungeons and Dragons. Next year, I am embarking on positive psychology coaching research on games and role-playing, and any opportunities for appropriate application in coaching. I'm proper excited! 🛡️⚔️🧤📜

Last year, I chose a word to guide my year - like a memorable, compact intention. I chose 'legacy'. I did some good research that aligned with this word. I also made changes to pacing myself. Next year, I think my word will be 'consideration' (slow thinking) but...I'm still considering! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm aphantasic (no voluntary mental imagery) and have no talent for art. One thing that has massively boosted the quality of my research/coaching materials is Canva (not sponsored) - many templates & it can even make things for you now. For my #ADHD it's saved time and reduced procrastination.

Well, I've had an interesting deep dive into sleep, seasons and #ADHD the last few days. For me, winter this year has yielded advanced sleep phase issues - tired early, up early, not sleeping in late. To right things, I need to use my light box and meds LATER. Not all of us sleep loads in winter.🤷‍♀️😊
