CHRONO CROSS Thoughts - Looove the tropical vibe and environment. reminds me of FFX in a way - Like the Suikoden inspirations like collecting text box designs and many random recruitable party members. - I got a dog lol - Leena? as in Leene from CT?! hmm... - Serge seems to get warped into an alternate world with the dog. Why not Leena? - Serge apparently died so that's why? - Confirmed alternate world not time travel since Leena and villagers are same. Events are different. - Serge dreamt of the intro so putting a pin on that. Random party members are with you during that too so uhh what's up with that I wonder? - Dunno if it's just a gameplay accessibility thing but Serge having a Time device that can slow/speed up time is interesting - Kid being named a literal kid reminded me that there's a sequel bait at the end of Trigger with Lucca finding some random baby. Wonder who that is? Serge probably? - Kid is equally suspicious for also having a Time device and saving Serge at the right moment. Also alluded that she's "not from this world" by saying she travels alone and doesn't know the land well (could be a lie dunno) - Maybe part of Radical Dreamers? I assume they're travelers too because I noticed that every event changed when Serge went to the alt world EXCEPT for the Radical Dreamers line from some NPC in the starter village. Curious...

Thoughts in the picture. BIIIIG Yakuza 3, 4, 7, Infinite Wealth, and 9 SPOILERS.

Just a "small" rant. Maybe I'm overreacting but I hope for the best. Obviously no context for these yet so we'll have to wait and see when the game comes out 🙏
Kiwami 3 leaks (thoughts) MINE Alright. It's pretty likely that Mine is gonna survive given some clues like "bartenders" being from Y3 and Dark Ties being a thing. I've made my peace with that. Yokoyama has his "plans" for 9 (will talk about it later), and it honestly could be peak if done well. Also I trust Yokoyama's abilities on character writing. Still, retcons sucks personally. I hate it. I eventually liked Kashiwagi's because of how it elevated both him and Kiryu in IW but also when you go back on 3 now, it feels silly. Richardson is harmless because he's a meme and I hope it won't affect future titles...well... I don't wanna say this but it's almost like Yokoyama's erasing Nagoshi's legacy with delisting 3 and overwriting it with Kiwami 3, where the changes affect 4 and beyond. HAMAZAKI Okay. the Kagawa thing sucks obviously. It's made even worse that in the leak, he's apparently prevented by Mine from stabbing Kiryu. Man, that's majority of what makes Hamazaki good in 4. So, we can assume Hamazaki's character will be different moving forward and even Saejima's prison section (that's kinda good actually). I'm fine with Mine's actions since Dark Ties will humanize him further but man... It's super icky that it's Kagawa's actor in that role of all things. And that the character I love is robbed of that character moment. Sure, it's a cheesy ending but it pays off in 4 and I like that pay-off. Guess we'll see I guess if there's an eventual K4? I also can't the possibility of Hamazaki SURVIVING 4 so he can be part of Yokoyama's "plans" for LAD9 (again, later) KANDA With the leaks, I am now overreactive about anything involving deaths in 3 lol. It is entirely possible that Kanda will survive if they're portraying Mine as a salvageable person. So that "we have no characters that are killers or bad" mantra still exists in RGG. Also he could fit in "the plan for LAD9". LIKE A DRAGON 9 Okay what is this "plan"? I believe that Yakuza 7-9 (including spin-offs) is a big trilogy that will end with 9. 7 involves Ichiban's origin and sets him up for what he does in 8 and 9. Gaiden sets Kiryu and Daidoji up for 8 and also Shishido for 9 (the plan). 8 is Kiryu's exit and sets up Daidoji and Ichi for 9. Ichi's goals since after 7 is to help the Yakuza reintegrate into society. It's what Arakawa wanted. I was a bit sad that 8 ended without an answer to that problem so now I think 9 will answer that now that Ebina and everyone we know from Kiryu's era are out of the Yakuza completely. So what now? It's Ichi's time to be the "savior" of the Yakuza by helping them. He already succeeded at the start of 8 through Sasaki but Ebina and Vtubers got in the way of that. Ebina, Sasaki, Shishido, Mine, Hamazaki (ugh), Kanda (Maybe), all have a second chance in life but they're all trapped at the Daidoji. We know how controlling they are in Gaiden (The way for Kiryu to gain skills is paying the Daidoji for some manuals lol) and why Shishido ending up as their slave is so so tragic but yeah that's just my theory on where this is going and why I think Mine surviving is OK... but again I am not happy at how bastardized the OG and potentially OG 4 and beyond will be. I dunno. I'm not feeling good about it even back then when the DLCs and paywalls have been getting worse. Yeah. Not too happy with current state of RGG and Yakuza ngl. Ramble over.
