Yeah they're all great. Sakanagi is pretty cool too since I'm on a Phys build. Unique skills are a new thing right? I don't remember them in Nocturne.

Random thought but I'm still holding hope for FromSoft to eventually make games from their older IPs once the Soulslike genre runs dry. They did it for AC and it was amazing. (I just want a new Kuon and Tenchu game)

Fatal Frame (2 especially). Love me a Japanese horror with a great atmosphere and a deep lore about ghosts and rituals. Also the themes explored are very human. Love this franchise.

Shame on RGG for this. They can easily do the right thing here but apparently they've been blocking people on twitter over it. Shame.
The Hamazaki scandal going on right now's a big stain on the upcoming Kiwami 3 and on RGG/Sega. Hope RGG does the right thing. I don't feel like buying the game now. Ironic too because Yakuza's also about respecting and humanizing adult workers and you got this guy who's caught SA-ing hostesses while Tanimura's actor was replaced for being falsely accused of drug use.

30-Day Yakuza Challenge! 🐉

Day 29: Favorite Suit - Someya (Y6)

Ok hear me out. It's far from the best drip but the details & color to characterize Someya is amazing! (see alt for examples) I'm into color theory because of Yakuza and all of them have some juicy details in them.

Profile of Someya. Man with slick-back hair, white three-piece pinstriped suit over light blue silk dress shirt and purple patterned tie. A bit of example is the white suit. Pinstriped and white goes hand-in-hand with his "clean" image as a Yakuza. No tattoos, purely business-oriented and formal, very professional-looking. This is his exterior/what he projects to the public. Who Kiryu and the Yakuza world know as. The light blue is hidden beneath layers of white. It's his true essence. The loyal, trustworthy man that he is underneath. It's a symbol of the sky and freedom. Yet, he's not because of his ties to the yakuza and his past with Kiyomi... The purple. See a tie is a stranglehold for him. Purple is Kiyomi's color. His past transgressions against her is still lingering in him, as we know later in 6. To make it more obvious, there's a pattern of a heart being stabbed all over the tie. I just think it's neat design despite lacking subtlety. See how it is keeping the blue suit underneath in place? eh? Maybe it's all me overthinking (again) but yeah my appreciation for a lot of Yakuza characters deepens this way.
