This is one of few times in history that a hurricane has prevented another from striking land. The binary Fujiwhara interaction between Humberto & Imelda will stall Imelda ~150 miles off SC coast, pulling the system out to sea. It's almost like Mother Nature is giving us a pass after Helene.

The irony or tragedy or coincidence should not be lost on anyone that 1 year to the day after Helene struck NC that another major storm is bearing down on us. Humberto and Imelda are strengthening and twisting towards us.
