I considered the bladder from a backpack style hydration system and rigging something up.

95% of the time the jugs are empty.

I can also buy a gallon and split into two jugs

One thing to add… measure the horizontal rings over the vertical straps WHILE the bottle is FULL of water

Just finished sewing new gallon jug holders. Here’s some tips

1. The vertical straps should go on the inside of the horizontal rings. Loading and unloading the jugs is much easier

2. Tape or tie all vertical straps in place then measure the rings over the vertical webbing.
