I did moderation for a website and I hate that line of non logic. He may be a documented sex pest but he didn't break any rules on our site yet, we can't preemptively ban him! "Well he didn't shit in my closets!" Because he hasn't been here long enough, Deborah. He eventually will.

I never disliked Linux in any form, I just felt like I shouldn't use it if I wasn't sure how. Kinda like how folks shouldn't use certain tools if they weren't trained- they're useful and powerful but you can also really easily break stuff- but Linux nowadays is super user and newbie friendly.

If you're wondering why that is:

Most Linux distros are user-based and developed. As in a lot of the things you see are or were made by computer science folk solving their own problems and sharing.

Windows is a vessel for advertising masquerading as an OS. Wasn't always, definitely is now.

See if Windows were to encounter the same problem it'd panic and take out everything fucking else and bluescreen the whole device like a startled cat slipping on a countertop covered in plastic cups.

Having been trained with Linux I always thought it was over-complicated with too few safeguards. Like it was fragile and I'd break it and my machine.

Yesterday it killed a process that used too much memory and told me as such in plain English.

After Windows I have changed my mind.
