FYI. Is me. 👋
Hello new people. Here's an intro.

UK born, live in USA, married. Founded a web site in the 90s, left when I was hired by John Henry to work at iRacing. Went to Image Space Inc. after 5 years, then Studio 397, rFpro, back to Studio 397, then onto Straight4.

It kinda hurts me seeing the controllers hung by their cables lol
So that's what Dominik Diamond has been up to.
Well, darn. I know a guy whose web site is still up from 1999 and he’s not been with that isp since then.
Do they have any cheap services you could sign up for, for one month, to reset their timer?
The Mac version also included speech recognition, allowing you to request pit adjustments via voice. The simulation also ran in a window, inside the OS, just like IndyCar Racing II.
The Mac release of NASCAR Racing (released in 1996, not 1994 like the PC version), featured a licensed 1996 carset - including Dale Earnhardt - rather than the 1994 carset seen on the PC release.
I have the original and maxis international release of this one.
I'm quite surprised. I genuinely thought it might be different, but I'm seeing every indication that the system is CPU bottlenecked.

I even have an Intel Mac Mini that has half the clock speed, released four months after, and it destroys the G5 Quad.

Mind blown. I bet many people were pissed off.
Going back to my last post here... I can see why Apple dumped their G5 CPUs and switched to Intel.

With NR2003 the FPS is better on an Intel Mac running a PowerPC binary through Rosetta translation than it EVER ran on a PowerPC, even the fastest G5 they ever made.

How much better? 40-50% better.
This is all so I can play NASCAR 2003 Mac version on CPU it was actually built for (Intel models play it well, but it's through the Rosetta binary translator on something like Mac OS 10.6 - so that's cheating). #simracing #nascar #apple
They released this machine after they had announced moving to Intel CPUs, I think, so it's extremely rare, even rarer not leaking, and I am waiting on a cable (it uses a unique one because of the power requirements) to see if it works.
Picked up a couple of Power Mac G5s today that I saw on Facebook Marketplace. Seller only posted pics of the Dual Core model so I assumed that's what they both were. Turns out there was also a Quad core, the fastest Power PC Apple ever produced. It even has liquid cooling.
#OnThisDay in 2005, SIMBIN released a batch of GT Legends 'release' screenshots. #simracing #retrogaming #gtlegends

Taito share an image they’ve used AI to colorize. Except it didn’t just do that, it got the game name wrong, melted faces and hands, changed faces entirely, and more. As someone trying to build an archive of racing game history, this would potentially make me create a record of a non-existent game!
最近どう?

Ha! I did find out why, eventually! The Murasama (Honda) Surtees was driving was heavier, and that meant he had a slightly longer braking distance. When being affected by player aero also he didn't have enough distance to stop.
