The goal is making life more musical. Sometimes that requires instruments. Other times years of practice. Or you just need to open your mouth, clap your hands, & let the energy of community (commune w whoever u like) match your heartbeat. Sing your ass off - all the time. Don't ever drop the mic.
By its nature, great wealth IS immorality. Anyone with a billion dollars did not "acquire" it themselves, but by exploiting others. The wealthy have no concern or care, so long as their wealthy pockets keep getting lined. Philanthropy is the way they distract from too much profit to begin with.

Change the world. Your life. Jobs. Friends. Habits. Lanes. Your mind. First, make sure to change your underwear. Each journey begins with one step. Anybody talking about starting anywhere but right in front of you & offering you a destination beyond the stretch of your legs is selling something.

Trump is a symptom, not the cause. We worship wealth, celebrity, self-interest, self-love, unearned respect, notoriety, and bullshit. That's our real God. That's the cause. Fix that.

If it was really happening, you wouldn't need an AI photo to document it. Or an AI-written press release to brag about it.

You know what? We don't need no Reichstag fire. That's what this administration is saying, loud and clear. And Trump's being saying that since the 1980s - when it was obvious to anyone with a brain that he was a complete asshole. Anybody who doesn't hear that is willfully putting wax in their ears.

All music cannot be contained
in simple structures, common forms,
by formulaic skeletons
that would restrict the way it's made;
it reaches out beyond those lines,
a crayon in untutored hands
that blurs the edges in between
the guidelines of a thing.

You know, freedom of speech only guarantees you can say whatever you want. You still must accept and pay the consequences for saying it. Even if that means no one is required to listen. And they're not. Take a lesson: it doesn't matter what's said. Unless the speaker takes responsibility for it.

Wow. Social media is becoming like a modern cable TV series. Everyone is SO pretty. No visible blemishes or weak areas. But ultimately a little slow. And overtly naive. And not as tall in person. Betcha smell good though. LOL.

Every generation is going to the dogs (lucky dogs). Wants to be different from its ancestors but is pretty much the same. Puts its own heroes on the pop charts. Makes its own mistakes based on the mistakes of its parents. Learns from them and sees their own face in the fun house mirror. Or doesn't.

You know what they say, “so long as one is in prison, no one is free.” Well, so long as it does not include everyone, esp. those you don’t like or agree with, there is no We.

Many ask what "we" can do to fix America. The 50%+ complaining can use their vote and their $. Like u didn't last election. Then dump anyone putting party b4 country, loyalty b4 legality & promoting a bigoted, racist & stupid America First agenda. Start w local govt & work up. Until they're gone.

Everybody always says this generation is going to the dogs. Religion is dying, morality is dead, we live in a post truth society, our values and valued institutions are crumbling. Life will surely suck harder for those who follow us. Etc. Well, you reap what you sow, Gen X.

Some things never change. And some things do. It’s the insisting that they are things at all that does us in. That’s all that’s between us and absolutely nothing.

Look out. I got a electronic drum set AND an EWI for my birthday. Now if I can just find room in my tiny studio to set up the drums, the piano, and the upright bass. Plus all the microphones and cables. Then I'm back in the recording business. Pictures forthcoming once I get the set up done.

There are those who imagine “magical” places like they are scenes from the “happily ever after” part of a fairy tale: in a strange twist, they believe the hereafter, the great beyond, and the future tense of once upon a time to be like the world initially encountered by the young Siddhartha Buddha.

Only a very select group of people should be allowed to cover Beatles tunes. I'm sure George was actually knocked out that Ella would do this. I first heard on the jukebox at the Ernie Room (Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA) sitting next and drinking next to one of the original singers from the Ink Spots.
