@mattcameron.bsky.social I heard you say on OA that ice arrests are happening at the same rate as before Trump, but I wanted to check in. Since then have they gone up, I noticed a headline saying 1200 in one day. That's a lot? Or is this still being over hyped? Thanks for great commentary!

Sure we see each other every now and then but there's nothing keeping us together talking. I don't know, I am probably just doing it wrong, but it just feels completely different, like walking around in a huge crowded stadium rather than being in a bus on a trip with people I know. You know? ?

I don't like bluesky as much as I have liked facebook, for the same reason I didn't like twitter even before all the stuff. I'm swimming in an ocean alone, not with a group of people I know.

I think what's in the interest of the country is, if Trump goes after them hard, for that process to play out, and for it to become plain what the extent of the rule of law is right now.

I don't know if this is a popular idea here or not. I don't think Biden should pardon figures like Cheney and Fauci. I think that pardoning them is essentially a personal favor, not in the interest of the country.
