Today, a federal court is hearing a case to block ICE from accessing taxpayer data.

If ICE can pierce tax record privacy, millions of families will be at risk, and it won’t stop there.

ICE is escalating, targeting immigrants, silencing dissent, and tearing families apart. Now they are going after our tax data. We can’t look away. Keep your eyes on ICE as we demand protections for our neighbors and communities. #StopTrumpsTrackdown

Rep. Chuy García is demanding ICE release Willian Gimenez, a Venezuelan day laborer seized Friday outside a barbershop in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.

On Sept 12, ICE agents unjustly detained Willian Gimenez in Little Village while he entered a barbershop with his wife. ICE has refused to disclose his location and denied his attorneys access—violating his rights and abusing their power.

Today, Mayor Brandon Johnson must defend Chicago’s status as a sanctuary city before the House Oversight Committee.

No matter what happens, Chicago will remain a sanctuary city because it’s who we are. We stand with our immigrant neighbors. Policies may change, but #SanctuaryStays

From Chicago and Boston to Denver and New York, sanctuary policies reflect our deepest values: dignity, justice, and solidarity. For nearly 40 years, Chicago has stood as a beacon of sanctuary —a place where families can build their lives free from fear and persecution. #SanctuaryStays

URGENT: HR 32 & HR 35 target sanctuary cities & ALL their residents. HR 32 defunds critical social services, and HR 35 imposes penalties without due process. Call your Representative TODAY: bit.ly/stophr3235 & tell them to vote NO.

I still can’t believe that Prop 6 failed in Nov and Californias didn’t vote to ban “involuntary servitude for incarcerated persons.” Not only is the pay and lack of benefits terrible, but if an inmate rejects this “job offer” it can delay their ability to get parole, creating an impossible “choice.”

Take Action Now via ICIRR: Urge Senator Duckworth to vote to STOP HR 29 aka the Laken Riley Act. HR 29 will likely be voted on in the Senate today, allowing ICE to deny immigrants their constitutional right to due process and facilitating Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
