A few empty boxcars shuffle off toward tomorrow's work and a warm evening is coming down, as the Coasties tie up their 36' after assisting/standing by an excursion boat with carburetor problems. All back in, all O.K.

The adjective "prototypical" works for me. The other thing that drives me up the wall is "scenic-ing". Really? Couldn't we say "landscaping" or "adding scenery"?

On October 1, 1959, Soviet KGB agent Aleksandr Alekseyev arrived in Cuba to form a relationship between the USSR and Castro. Slightly less momentous was this scene in Port Arend, where the tracks cross Little Dog Creek.

I'm sure everyone has a favorite tug/barge combination, right ? (No?) Mine is without doubt the Undaunted pushing the Pere Marquette 41, seen here threading the first of multiple needles of the Sturgeon Bay bridges with a huge load of rock.
