Saw a group of these unique little guys on my walk in Dimondale tonight. If Google is correct it's a Giant Ichneumonid Wasp and although it looks ominous it doesn't sting.
Work has begun in Danford Island Park on concrete walkways from the bridge to the gazebo and river overlook. The park will be a little inaccessible and messy for a couple of days but will will be a great improvement when complete. All this is being done with a recreation grant from Eaton County.
The new Dimondale Elementary School's ribbon cutting was last week and now it's time for the full public unveiling. Come out to the open house this Thursday at 6:00 to see our new state of the art school.
I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Dimondale Elementary School today with several Dimondale Trustees and other dignitaries. The new school is beautiful and state-of-the-art. Still a little construction left to complete but school will start next Wednesday, August 20, regardless.

To wrap up National Library Week the Dorothy Hull Library in #Dimondale is sponsoring Conversation Cafe with the Trustees. The Library Board Trustees will be available from 11-12 this Saturday at the Library to talk with Library patrons. Stop by for coffee and chat.
