to be clear, I didn't have a huge problem with any of it, it just really stood out to me as most countries I regularly travel to had phased out/reduced a lot of it in the 2010s.
Felt like stepping back in time to see so much plastic or packaged cigarettes so freely sold.

Japan is behind most of the 'well off' world in these areas, to the point where even the American I was there with was shocked by the amount of single use plastic.
