These are some ~1h practice studies I did to try and get a bit better at painting. Also did these by eyeballing the colors (didn't use the eyedropper tool) which was a fun challenge!

The process for this one was actually to make 2 separate explosions and use them as building blocks to make something larger, which kind of shows in the symmetry of it all but I'm actually quite happy with the way it ended up looking!

Btw this is the first version of this design, but I really didn't like the way it was going so I ended up starting over from scratch. Glad I did cause I really like how the final piece turned out!

Also this is like one of the biggest pixel pieces I've ever made, let alone animated which is pretty sick (500x500px), took a while but it was a fun challenge!
