The Raggedy Ann Revival Effort (or R.A.R.E.) is an online volunteer effort dedicated to preserving, archiving, and eventually reviving the 1986 Broadway musical Raggedy Ann.

We had our first workshop, which played to sold out crowds and was a big success!

Raggedy Ann Music and Lyrics by Joe Raposo Raggedy Ann the Musical is partially lost media; it only ran on Broadway for five shows, although it was a hit in the USSR and ran for many previews and shows in Albany and DC. With a script by William Gibson of “The Miracle Worker” and score by the legendary Joe Raposo of “Sesame Street” Raggedy Ann is an exciting and heartfelt dark fantasy adventure that’s sadly forgotten in Broadway history. What is R.A.R.E.? What is our ultimate goal? Our goal is to restore and revive the Broadway version of Raggedy Ann, by recovering and cleaning up the script, creating instrumentals for the music, and recovering any lost Raggedy Ann the Musical content we can find, so that hopefully we may one day put Raggedy Ann on as a show!
