You know in movies where they kinda wipe their hand gently over the face of a dead guy and it closes their eyes. It would be a good gag if they did that on a guy with glasses. Either his eyes close or the glasses turn into sunglasses.

Had a pitch in 2010 for a sci-fi cartoon, the antagonist we developed was an AI super computer so dangerous/clever it could convince people to kill themselves just by talking.
It's 2025 and 3 people have ended their lives on instruction from chatbots just this year, the bar is actually that low...

Writing and drawing, storytelling... I don't recall any catalyst, it was always there among my earliest memories, I suppose it was an evolution of play, my brother and I, making up little worlds for toys and characters scribbled on yellowing printer paper.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

I've been making comics and illustrations with my brother since infancy, it never occurred to us to do something else, I briefly became a children's author in part to spite my university tutors, after freelancing for a decade I got a day job so I could buy a house.

We are finally moving home, unfortunately that means being forced to confront the archive of work that @ratheranimated.bsky.social and I have built over the last 25 years. Can you imagine the hoarding capability of an autistic Illustrator and Animator who shared a workspace for decades...
