It's my flag too.
Pinned
I just added my very first (and maybe last!) post on Substack. It's about my dad (who is not in the picture though it kind of looks like him...)

Familiar
In December 2015 I flew home to Seattle the day before my father had surgery to remove a malignant tumor, an operation that would prove unsuccessful, ending in his death six weeks later.

History is so tired of shouting.

Can someone please show me the entrance to the wormhole leading to that universe?
Sigh

Listen.

Vote for democrats.
November 26, 2025 at 7:57 AM
This is the opposite of democracy. From now on whoever votes for this should take a seat during the Pledge of Allegiance. Several seats.
Indiana Republicans bow to pressure from Trump and say they will vote on gerrymandering plan that he has demanded to redraw congressional lines even further in the party's advantage. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/25/u...

Yikes, she'd better be careful. I think we're close to the part of authoritarianism where people start falling out of windows.
MTG needs to tell us what she knows about Trump and members of Congress leading up to January 6th. Have any reporters catering her media tour asked that question?

Should read 'Gaslight and Thanksgiving Prices'
lmao Fox & Friends is digging deep for examples of prices that are not up this Thanksgiving. National Brand!
November 21, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Looking at you, Jake Tapper
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?
November 9, 2025 at 2:08 PM
We need to break Stacey Abrams out of Georgia and unleash her on the rest of the country, let her work her magic getting people, non voters especially, to the polls. She is fearless.

This is only the shit we're seeing in the light of day. God only knows what's happening in the shadows.
November 8, 2025 at 1:26 PM
In what universe are these the good guys?
November 6, 2025 at 1:19 PM
As a result, Trump's going to sign an executive order banning reality.
Trump is met with utter silence from the troops in Japan as he lies that "grocery prices are way down"

It's the permanence of this that gets me. A lot of the stuff he's done can be undone but you can't replace something that was built centuries ago. It's gone forever. I wish Trump were too.
“.. Trump is doing more than elevating bad taste by building a monument to himself. He’s .. taking a wrecking ball to the quaint notion that the White House’s occupant should have goals and values that transcend grifts ..”

Hey GOP, we're the only ones who should be allowed to carry the flag. You throw away that right every day you enable your would-be king to stay in power. You'd just love to toss aside that pesky democracy and take a short cut to oligarchy, elections be damned. You are no longer worthy of my flag.
October 19, 2025 at 7:54 AM
Does anyone else still harbor the hope that all of this could change on a dime, maybe by way of a leaked Epstein revelation or some unforgivable gaffe? It all seems so fragile, built on lies, one hot-mic moment away from disaster. Could come any day. Please, God, make it so.

The quiet part is getting awfully loud
Bessent: "The government is standing in the way. We've tried to get it out of the way. The Democrats have not been able to shut President Trump down in the courts. They've tried to shut him down in the media ... we need to get the government out of the way."

I'm learning that all my life I've given people way too much credit.
October 15, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Seriously, Peter? History will be baffled by the media coverage during this time. American democracy was being dismantled in front of their eyes, the biggest story of their lifetimes, and journalists cowered in the corner or spent time on idiocy. Failed themselves, their readers and their republic.
While his father was vice president, Hunter Biden began developing relationships that led to an audacious proposal to sell the land around the US Embassy building in Romania to a group that included a Chinese company. @kenvogel.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/10/07/u...

They probably invited him back purely for entertainment purposes, an entire country laughing at him behind his back.
The ad-libbing is so embarrassing.

That's ok by me. My educated son will be their boss someday.

So unAmerican. There's a Ram truck commercial narrated by Dana White that ends with 'Never stop being American'. My question is what happens when America stops being American?
NEW: Chutkan called the Trump administration 'cavalier' about the fact that it may have sent five men to be persecuted and killed and said it may have been the Trump administration's goal.

I think of the Trump regime as a last ditch effort to stop an inevitable tide of liberalism. Looking at ads on TV I see plenty of multiracial and LGBTQ+ families. Also, any job seeker will find that DEI is alive and well.

They can try to smother it but good will win out in the end.

Can we stop legitimizing this farce by calling it a 'summit'? It was bullshit from the start and an insult to Zalenskyy. And then there's Lavrov's tee shirt....

The judicial branch telling the executive branch it can't override the legislative branch. Love to see my democracy at work. Now if only they'd stay in their own lane. Looking at you, SCOTUS.

Yes, please give us the list, we'll just ignore the name between S and U that's crossed out with a black sharpie
Trump on Epstein: "You should focus on Clinton. You should focus on the president of Harvard. The former president of Harvard. You should focus on some of the hedge fund guys. I'll give you a list. These guys lived with Jeffrey Epstein. I sure as hell didn't."
