One of the candies I gave away last night was Payday and I'm officially the old guy giving out candy the kids don't understand.

I got one "what is this?" and another in a group who volunteered to take them, as if he were taking the bullet for his buddies.

Anyway, they're wrong. Payday are great.

Unrelated, but I learned last night on my evening walk that you can hear the crowd noise and PA announcer from Tigard High football games from my neighborhood. Guess I had never walked at those times on a Friday night before.

I think I'd read any and all of Pearlman's books. He does a ton of research on his subjects, so his storytelling is thorough, and he strives for balance.
