if def required and not Keychron, there's low profile keebs by Razer or Logitech MX.

Could also get low profile cherry MX switches to custom build something, but not sure their compatibility with regular keebs.

Tbh low profile switches are a big constraint imo

I'd also (dare to) question how many are requirements vs desires. I wanted one with backlight & numpad, but I can't live without this anymore cause the trackpoint and I can add a numpad with the FN key programming

Personally I liked cherry browns first, but found them wobbly and not smooth, so I got Zealios v2 which are so much better imo. Also worth lubricating the switches for more smoothness, can pay someone for relatively cheap, else you need tools and lots of time which just isn't work it imo

IMO the switches matter the most, and you'll have to get hands on to tell what you really want. Thankfully there's sample packs out there.

Otherwise, some keyboard base with hot swappable switches is probably enough, made of whatever material and connectivity (wireless, usb-c, etc) that you want.
