The first Presidential election I was able to vote was in 1980. I voted absentee from my college dorm room for John Anderson. As it turned out, it wouldn’t have changed anything had I voted for Jimmy Carter, but in retrospect I wish I had. At the time I thought he was a good person, perhaps too good
