Let me be very clear, if no one steps up today or tomorrow to challenge Chuck Schumer as Democratic Senate leader, the entire caucus is in on the cave. There must be a political price to pay for this move.

If we awaken tomorrow to Democrats losing both Florida House seats I don’t think we should despair. They are so red that a GOPer with a pulse should win there. However, if we awaken to losing Wisconsin too, we should sound the alarms that what we’re doing is not working and we need new leadership.

Democrats need to primary every Democratic US Senator who is complicit in keeping Schumer in the leaders chair. Every one of them should be calling for his head and replacing him ASAP.

Schumer’s capitulation might well be seen as the end of the post 1964 Democratic Party. He is “leading” with fear. You can smell the fear and there is little doubt that Trump will now be able to do whatever he wants for the next 4 years. His actions will throw away what chances we have in 2026.

I am aware your pollsters and consultants tell you things like “the American people want us to work together” and “ focus on prescription drug prices in the economy.”

If Trump and his minions are not cowed by political and economic pressure the only issue for the 2026 midterms should be: “Will you vote to impeach and convict?” The only want to stop this madness is removal from office. “Safe” Republicans must lose their elections for supporting this disaster.
