Bear cubs! I was lucky enough to see two momma brown bears with cubs. They’re adorable, but they’re feisty and have well developed claws! I got some fall colors and turquoise water at Crescent Lake in this picture as they scanned the shoreline for salmon. #Alaska

I’ve got one more week of bear photos to share from my amazing trip to Lake Clark National Park. I’ve got so many pics to choose from. But I couldn’t go without posting a photo of a bear with a salmon in its mouth. Classic #Alaska

While the east side of the Kenai Peninsula is mountains and glaciers, the west side is pretty flat. It’s still beautiful nonetheless. This was taken near Soldotna after heavy rains cleared from the area at sunrise. #Alaska

I finally saw my first bald eagles in the wild while in #Alaska. They’re beautiful creatures. Included in this collage is an eaglet that I was able to get a decent picture of. Fun fact, eagles don’t develop the white head for 5-8 years after birth!

Tern Lake is one of the more beautiful spots along the Seward Highway, with incredible views. I returned three times but was met with rain and dreary conditions. So here’s a moody view of the lake! Definitely need to get back here and capture this spot properly #Alaska

Did you know #Alaska has puffin!? Both horned and tufted puffin inhabit the area, and they’re small and tough to shoot! Here’s the best I could do with a really long lens in Resurrection Bay.

Here are some fall colors as the impressive Mount Redoubt dominates the background in Lake Clark National Park. Mount Redoubt is one of the many active volcanos in #Alaska and is the highest peak in the Aleutian Range.

Sniff test time. This brown bear takes a whiff of a salmon caught in Crescent Lake. He ended up tossing it back and searching for something more fresh. Who knew bears were so picky! 🤣 #Alaska

Shake it off! A brown bear emerges from Crescent Lake while searching for salmon. This one looked better in black and white. #Alaska

From wide angle to close up, this brown bear was staring me down as I took this telephoto shot of him searching for salmon at Crescent Lake in Lake Clark National Park #Alaska

Here’s another one of my favorites from Lake Clark National Park as a brown bear scans the shoreline of Crescent Lake for food with a tad bit of fall colors in the background. #Alaska

It’s bear week as I plan to share a handful of images from an incredible trip to Lake Clark National Park. In this first image, this bear was only 15 feet away so I pulled out the wide angle to showcase the towering mountains as he scanned the water for food. #Alaska

Here’s a few abstract glacial ice images I took while in Kenai Fjords National Park. The ice was so pure and blue, it made for some interesting compositions.
