That says he's had 87 AB (at bats) which is different from PA (plate appearances). Plate appearances that end as sacrifices (SF), base on balls (BB), or hit by pitches (HBP) do not count as at bats. Vladdy's 104 PA resulted in 87 AB, 14 BB, 2 HBP, and 1 SF.

Pages and Call both had 2 PA vs Yesavage. They both lined out once and struck out once. There was no difference in their performances, but Call did this when Yesavage was on his A game. Meanwhile, Pages did no better than Call when Yesavage was off his game.

He has had 104 career post-season PA. His OPS from the 25 PA he had in 2020, 2022, and 2023 is an abysmal .381 and really drags down his career line. In his 79 PA this post-season, he has a 1.337 OPS.

And I feel good about taking on Glasnow. With Yamamoto, you have to hope you can score 2 runs, drive up his pitch count so he leaves by the end of the 7th, and hold the other team scoreless. Everything has to go right. It's possible, of course, but can't make any mistakes to win that game.

I agree. Beating Yamamoto would be great, but I'd like to have the margin of error allow for a loss that allows them to play one more game instead of ending their season.
