My favourite beginning to a 1970s TV mystery drama of the week. Going by their smugness and the title of the story, that’s them both dying horribly at the end then.

Chazza shop vinyl find of the week.

I'm a sucker for novelty covers of pop songs played in an anachronistic style. I love Big Daddy; they were the '80s Mike Flowers Pops of their day. So, sue me.

A doo-wop version of Devo's Whip It, anybody?

Nice pastiche of the old Commando war comics, although the pilot should've cried out the fuller, "Gott in Himmel!" oft exclamation, and perhaps added "Donner und Blitzen!" for extra authenticity.

I'm not sure about the casting choice for Ernie Bragg in this new reboot of Carry on Behind.

A lovely example of 'Indiana Jones' dry humour here.

I've just watched another one of those morbid AI videos where the cast of a beloved old movie takes a selfie with their future dead self. Peter Cushing wonders why the ghost of Bing from Brookside has rocked up instead.

Recent chazza shop LP find.

Titti Sjöblom. Swedish songstress 1974.

"Oh, stop sniggering at the back there, Simpkins!"

This is my fave track, so far. youtube.com/watch?v=HjpS...

You don't get double crossing, murderous, talking robot Cuban cigars in comics anymore. Crying shame.

Yesterday, I purchased two library music LPs from Camden Town's Out On The Floor. I've only just noticed they both feature lavly cats on the cover
Track linked from one of the albums very much captures a 'don't give a f***' feline spirit, dont'cha think? youtube.com/watch?v=vdd_...

Poor 2-Ton Tony. Wasn't last week's prog cover not humiliating enough?

Tony needs a Dick Porker belly wheel.
That's a sentence I never imagined typing today.
Old 2000AD readers will know what I'm referring to.

Here's a recent chazza shop find. A novelty 1976 charity fund raiser single. I prefer the B-side instrumental version. Seriously funky. You could tell composer Bill Oddie was a fan of Parliament and Funkadelic. youtube.com/watch?v=JO7G...

Happy birthday to Evil Edna who turned a hundred years old today. She usually celebrates it at Halloween, but if you ask me, that is an affectation.

Well done Ian Gibson. The leaning over a drawing board at midnight back breaking detail in this cover art is truly magnificent.

I spotted this Dad birthday card in Sainsburys today. The pun doesn't work and the illustration is diabolical. This card wouldn't even be acceptable if my own child designed it. I'd even go as far to say if I received this card from my child, they would be put up for adoption.

His really close friends get to call him 'Nem Nem'. That warning sign and banner would've made a great t-shirt design back then.

I picked up this 1979 LP for a song in Spitalfields record market last Friday.

'Make It Safe' poem still resonates. Linked below.

Sounds like a typical 1985 comedy movie

"In a world when you have 5 men!"
John Candy, Judge Rheinhold, Steve Guttenberg, Arsenio Hall & Phil Collins
"Plus 1 Droid!"
Roddy McDowall
"Plus 1 Alien"
Danny de Vito
"Plus 1 Panther"
Whoopi Goldberg

"it equals?"

THE MEAN TEAM!!
