I am so, SO excited to finally share my *fiction* debut!!

I can't wait to tell you more about Lily, Charlotte, Rose, and Rhys.

Huge thanks to @michaelbourret.bsky.social!
Reader friends! I'm searching for some rather specific titles.

What are others like Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales: Above The Trenches?

Think graphic novel (fiction or non!), lots of planes, and fighting in WWI or WWII (or any war)

Any and all reading levels

Would LOVE to hear your suggestions!

How would I even begin to quantify the other forms of research for a book? Interviews? Museum visits?? If only there was a way to easily describe it... 😂

(I could count the books, add up pages, tally interview minutes, number visits and trips. Heavens, no. That would be way too convenient 😉 )

There is nothing - nothing, I tell you! - more frightening than a blank page!

Anyone else sit down to turn an idea into an outline...a draft...an anything!... and spend the first bit just panicking?? Anyone? Just me? 😬🤦🏼‍♀️

#TLSkyChat A7: I'm an author, and author visits drop *way* off in the summer. Are you involved with any book clubs - even virtually! - that authors could visit? I see so much reading joy being generated when I visit with students. How can we authors help spark this joy over the summer?

Things I did not have on my Bingo card: editing a book about WWII spies while quietly singing "Row, row, row your boat" to myself.

The L'Engle!!

...there aren't many time I'll get an XKCD comic before my husband does, but this will be one of them! (The one and only other time I can think of was back in the 2000's where the caption text had a joke about Renesmee 😂 )

Just under the headlines: "Being a spy is like watching paint dry." 😂

I've been working on a non-writing project all year!

This is very much a learn-as-I-go hobby, and I had a big day yesterday - finally staring to quit the quilt!

Is it messy? Yes! Do I love it? Yes 😊

Thank you so much!! I'm thrilled you loved this book!

Might be a personal best for Number of Books Open While Drafting 😂

Thought I was leveling up when I got an actual book-holder-opener (a technical term 😉), but apparently one wasn’t enough.

Such a fantastic start to March is Reading Month!

I managed to sneak in a bit of (very cold!) sightseeing in NYC.

Then, it was off to Long Island for visits with Plainview-Old Bethpage SD. I had a great time talking with the students, and they asked some truly insightful questions!

Writers - who can write with music on??

How do you do it?! Any recommendations for integrating music while I write?
