The only people this "negatively" affects, are big-wig corporates who now have to contend with the fact that customers are done with their bullshit and can see through their lies.

Why? Both games being as cheap as they are is a net positive for all indie developers. It's part of why indie games have gotten such a huge spotlight as of recent and allows consumers to take more plunges into other games because they don't have to spend as much money on said games.

You do know that Hollow Knight was even cheaper on release then Silksong and that had literally nothing to back it except for the initial fundraising

Silksong being cheap, is quite literally a net positive for devs and especially consumers
