Adaptive technology within the home is a lifeline for disabled women. But it can also be weaponised by abusive partners

This Sunday (7th September) there will be a nationwide Emergency Alert test at 3pm.

For women experiencing #DomesticAbuse, a hidden phone can be a lifeline. The Emergency alert this week will trigger a loud siren noise, even if your phone is on silent.

As it stands, the judiciary’s understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse remains insufficient, improved judicial training is absolutely essential. Domestic abuse is a serious crime, and if perpetrators are not held accountable, lives will be put at risk. (2/2)
