One of the D&D campaigns that has been going on and off again for almost a decade is finally ending and it's a real bittersweet moment. Glad our DM finally gets to wrap up this story, but man am I going to miss inhabiting this character's head.
I love the combat. I need to put the negotiations system through its paces as I haven't interacted as much with it. But every time I've played it, I've had a blast.
Draw Steel is the TTRPG for people who wished D&D combat felt more fun and dynamic. And wanted a few more mechanics for the non-combat stuff without going overboard. Love the system so far.
Had friends from out of state over for the weekend and we played 3 different TTRPGs. It was 13 hours of ttrpgs and it was freaking amazing. Love this group. Find a group of weirdos that is into what you are into and never let them go.
D&D pro tip: if you are knowledgeable of a fantasy property that you know no one else at the table is into, you can just steal names from that for your NPCs. No one at my table plays Magic the Gathering, so I can just pull Niv Mizzet from thin air as a name for a wizard.
Why the heck do men's bathrooms, on average, not have a baby changing station? I would like to take care of my child. Women aren't the only parent that change diapers.
Just finished the demo for Alabaster Dawn. dang, what an impression. Secured a day one purchase for me and became one of my most anticipated games of next year.
We're in the golden days of action rpgs with Diablo, last epoch, path of exile, grim dawn, and now titen quest 2 all major games out right now. Not to mention a number of great indie offerings like the slormancer and Into the Necrovale. I'm eating really good right now.
Man, the overton window really has left the realm of being a decent normal human being.
I am loving season 3 of last epoch. The lich subclass changes have been a blast so far.
Genuinely one of the top indie games I've had on my radar for a while. Super excited for Unbeatable. The demo is excellent. If you like rhythm games, put this on your radar.

Kirby air riders looks like what I was hoping Mario kart world would be
Not going to lie, was hoping for a shadow drop of the original air ride for the GameCube virtual console today.
Kirby airrides direct is what I needed Nintendo. Let's go
Haven't touched my switch 2 in weeks at this point. Partially because I'm busy and partially because there just hasn't been anything that I'd want to experience on the console itself. I'd love switch 2 versions of a number of indies that would utilize mouse controls, but they don't have dev kits.
Fast fashion is your baby ruining 4 outfits in one day.
Man, constantly getting edge of fate (current destiny expansion), edge of eternities (current mtg set), and visions of eternity (new upcoming guild wars 2 expansion) on my feed all at the same time is a very unique and weird problem to have because I confuse them together.
One thing I learned from helping my dad with all of his projects. It's never that simple. Doesn't matter what it is, it is never that simple.
Wheel world is such a game specifically designed for my particular taste. A bike racing game with an exploration open world, a campaign scattered around that world, and a customizable bike that you upgrade as you play through the game? Take my money. Don't miss this game.
I can argue endlessly about the narrative fitting the themes the game wants to tell, and i personally really like how they bring those themes in to affect gameplay. But that doesn't really matter if it isn't hitting the right notes for you.
Honestly, if the resolution of act 1 didn't click with you, I feel like that's a sure sign the rest of the game won't. The rest of the game peels back the curtain for what is going on, and if "being lied to" puts a sour taste in your mouth, the rest of the game doubles down on that.
Honestly, I might be more excited for steam to eventually add steam api support for the switch 2 joycons, so that I can have the hybrid controller/mouse that I need until steam releases the steam controller 2.
I've had the switch 2 for a couple of weeks now. It finally makes the switch playable on a modern TV. I want mouse mode on every game, as it actually makes PC-style games playable from the couch. It's a gem to play docked. But I'm very much not impressed with handheld mode due to battery life.
