Understandable! Birds are a big decision, especially with their long lifespan. So I would think about your house’s setup, how things may work with your dog, and also think about how much time you can dedicate to the bird. But I’m definitely happy to give some pointers if you do go for it!

Yep! I have a conure, and have managed to find a general harmony between her, my cat, and my partner’s corgi. Key would be to make sure they have a good enclosure, and I make it work by having her in my office. I can then let her roam while I’m there, so I know she’s safe from the others.

Susan, my opossum pilot, definitely just uses her tail as an extra hand at times. She has also definitely played dead once or twice, just to avoid an unnecessary fight. Finally, she prefers working at night, but does deal with daylight when necessary.

Oh, for sure. This is definitely like 3.5 seconds following them entering. Nothing has been hit or broken. Now we just need to see if he’ll cave again and reverse when his boss catches wind of this, lol.
