Sad days in #Malta!

Instead of preventing harm, our law courts continue to adopt draconian interpretation of the law and consider 12 grams of cannabis a serious crime..

Cannabis decriminalisation or just a masquerade?

Dear experts, doctors, and others..

Correlation is NOT causation

Blood detection and levels do not equate to impairment

Stop using us as a scapegoat, the real problems are:

💨Overspeeding
Alcohol binging 🫣
⚠️Unsafe infrastructure

We respond to questions 🧐🤓

Why more plants? So we don’t live in fear of arrest.

500g is exaggerated! If decrim allows acquiring 50g/month (+500g/year), why isn’t a Home Grower treated equally?

Why label us ‘criminals’ instead of equal citizens?

And 🇲🇹 Malta? Still waiting for thousands of criminal records to be cleared.

Fines for cannabis use on the street & at home if a neighbour has it. 😡

April’s legal changes? No help for home growers & risking CHRA members’ privacy with data leaks.

ReLeaf #Malta calls on the Government to allow the use of herb vaporizers within CHRAs ASAP‼️

This would better equip members with harm prevention tools 🫶

🔴 How can we rest assured the personal data collected by the ARUC through Cannabis Harm Reduction Associations will not end up being leaked or passed on for political reasons? 🤔

🧐 We are talking here about potentially over 8,000 people!

The ARUC is presently sharing very worrying posts on the legal amendments it proposed and enacted through Parliament a few days ago.

Disproportionate laws hurt us all, especially members of CHRAs, presently the only ones exposed to a breach of privacy and rights.

'Very sadly, it seems government-funded entities, and other stakeholders with a direct commercial and financial interest from cannabis sales are leveraging political pressure to demonise home cultivation and tarnish the reputation of home growers.'
Green pastures: The voice of cannabis growers in Malta | Andrew Bonello
Home growers agreed that the legal changes were a much-needed tool to prevent exposure to police harassment and criminal consequences for the sole act of cultivating a plant

Who are these amendments designed for?
Why not LEGALISE CANNABIS and spare us all this confusing act?

Cause I got high?

The relationship between the effects of cannabis and 'the lazy' stoner image seem to be more linked to perceptions than to actual reality.

The 2nd ARUC training for workers of CHRAs kicks off today!

In 2023, the ARUC invited Mr Òscar Parés & Ms Anna Obradors to deliver the training. They both have extensive experience researching & working with members & founders of Cannabis Social Clubs in Spain.

Good luck to all participants 🎊☘️💫

Bonello also expressed concerns that the agreement could see police issuing arrests on the pretext of ‘research’ & ‘harm-reduction’.

“We fear a similar agreement will give the Police a new found mission of ‘arresting home growers / personal users’ on the pretext of ‘research’ and harm reduction”
Malta Research Partnership to Study Risks of Legal and Illegal Cannabis
