Just a friendly reminder to replace your furnace filters at least every two months.
They say a MERV Rating of 5-8 is preferable because it filters enough without putting stress on your AC unit.
After a month my filters are already dirty.
MERV 8 Filtrete is 12 for $85 on Amazon.-Good Buy.

83 Billion dollars for Warner Bros.
-I don't think anyone watches Bugs Bunny anymore.
"What's Up Doc??"

Seems that solar panel use has been skyrocketing worldwide as prices for the panels have come down dramatically.
I know US oil is a net exporter but they're fighting a losing battle. Some solar factories are starting to be built like here in Louisiana(huge place), but we are well behind the mark.

Give yourself a point if it's been over 5 years since you've watched Family Feud.
Detract half a point if you recognize the name Richard Dawson.

Watching Texas romp 2-8 Arkansas and games like this kinda irk me, but I still just watch to see the action.
For one thing, Texas, which started the season with extremely high expectations should know not to flaunt victories against such a feeble opponent.
Some more class would be appreciated!

I typically don't eat much beef; I'd say 5-10 lbs. a year, not much more.
Just recently I bought a pound of low fat Angus beef and made a ton of spaghetti.
I'd forgotten how much animal protein and fat it provides, it goes well with spaghetti.
Don't recall such a surge since I was a teenager.

Don't have anyone to celebrate Thanksgiving with but many of those feasts were a drag.
My saucy Aunt who puts ketchup on everything would invite herself.
Most of the people would eat like wolves and twenty minutes later I'm sitting at the table by myself.
Refrigerate everything afterward.

I HAD to buy donuts at the grocery, just had to. . .
There was a guy there with a gun and he pointed it at my head and said "You're missing something. You'll be missing a lot more if you don't buy donuts!"

I think it's kinda lame that Miss Mexico gets crowned Miss Universe solely as an apology for a contest official railing at her.
What about the other 100 or so contestants, and how "in the World" do you expect anybody to take the whole thing seriously??

Managed to find Twining's English breakfast tea at Walmart.
Been looking for it awhile.
It's been around since before the American Revolution and tea like it was a big source of contention during the Revolutionary War due to the tea tax.
I actually think it's better-don't know why or how.

I don't cook much living alone, but I'm currently craving a potato and squash casserole with some onion and a creamy Swiss cheese sauce.
I may actually get to it-I'll put it on my list.

Peanut M&M's are my favorite chocholatey snack but I bought some Lindt chocolate caramel balls at the grocery today.
I think I'm riding down the slippery slope to transgenderism.

Many of us have forgotten that Trump has already been adjudicated against in a sexual assault case in a dressing room.
-What else was he capable of???

I've found that certain processed meats go down better than more expensive alternatives.
It started out with Vienna sausages, moved on to cheap corndogs and now it's Tysons chicken patties.
and don't forget canned tuna.
I think it's because they're more digestible.

At this point I'm half living on grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches.
-I think a Geico ad obsessed me with them to start with.

Finally found someone to install vinyl plank flooring.
Was going to have Lowe's do it but they wanted ME to rip up ALL!! the old flooring due to the house being older than '68 and the possibility of asbestos and EPA regulations.

I suppose my profile looks stupid and old but it's me.
Been through 60 years of tough life on this planet, so some of it is worse for the wear.
Meds kept me about 100 lbs overweight until I finally changed them recently.-Now I'm just 25 lbs overweight.

Salt pork is great! It's in the pork section, not the bacon one.
Don't know how long you'll live, but a couple of years off the maximum is worth it..
Maybe just avoid eating beef.

Just got my cable internet replaced by fiber today.
It tests out at over 300Mbps(used to be 40) and the ping speed is four times faster.
With all that, I'll save about $500/year.
What's amazing watching an HD movie is the speed and immediacy of motion.-I could watch it just for the "action".

If your favorite Rap artist is DJ Khaled you've probably sold yourself to the media too much.
I suppose many names might come to mind, but Khaled isn't "Another One".

Tell you . . . If you're not living in South Louisiana you're missing out on Tasso, which is smoked, cubed and spiced pork shoulder.
Just enough fat to get you going!
November 17, 2025 at 1:30 PM
Just tried frozen toaster oven sweet potato fries for the first time.
Pretty good if you're not expecting too much; They go down well and are a good source of a root vegetable you may only eat on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Don't save $2 from the Checkers/Rally brand-You might regret it.
