I think the EGOT standard promotes a false distinction among celebrities.
Who cares whether a music or movie star plays in movies or music or whether even either has participated in a stage play.
-It's bogus, and Steven Spielberg is no more for having won a Grammy.

Trying to mellow out listening to some country music like Shania Twain and I feel like a nine year old girl.
AI could easily produce lyrics, voice and instrumentation that exceed it in a matter of minutes.
-So, I guess there's another side to the AI debate; Playing down to your audience is worse!

Trump should advertise for Karo corn syrup.
-It would be a better gig than he has.

Finally got my Paul Klee calendar today.-Thought it was lost in the mail(international shipping).
-So, according to Paul Klee, the year began in February.

Despite all the technology today, street protests are still the common denominator for exhibiting public dissatisfaction.

Found some baking soda in my refrigerator.
Maybe it'll save the day with my lima beans-it definitely foams up in the pan.
February 2, 2026 at 6:37 PM
Cooking lima beans.
I hear adding some baking soda while cooking tends to make them less gassy by breaking down oligosaccharides, but I haven't any on hand.
Guess I'll have to fart.

Personally I think using soy sauce may be better that salt, but Google's AI says neither.
-There's all sorts of questions like that where you can't depend on AI to do in depth research and to that extent AI is making people stupid.

Wish there were more common News about the different types of sugar.
There's fructose(corn sugar), sucrose(cane sugar), dextrose(sweet potato sugar) and then glucose in typical diets.
I think fructose is the worst and I can feel my pancreas whenever I consume much of it, but others can be bad.

It's almost more notable that Djokovic at his age was playing in the final.

Local News doesn't check facts much.
One local protester against ICE involvement was said to identify himself as Ted Kaczynski.
That was the Unibomber; Well, ICE will never find him!

With the Grammys coming up I decided to listen to music.
This time Bonnie Raitt, just to prove I'm a mellow guy despite usually listening to some pretty raucous music.

Sometimes you've got to admit that even a broken clock is right twice a day!

That's just zanny! -Dogs do it, but mostly to scratch their asses.

Even more sadly that that, it's utterly recognizable for all the faults that have existed here since its inception.

It's been a brutal spell, but not as bad as last Winter here.
-If I can get through the next three days, the worst of Winter will have passed and I can start thinking about Spring, or the one and a half Months that are left of it!

The Media landscape is so large and fragmented these days.
Music and movies are cheap, but by subscription, and the old Networks are littered with dramatized versions of normalized life which are niche shows.
Streaming is cut like an apple pie.
Walter Cronkite is dead, I can only assume.

I don't get eaten up by most of my posts receiving no likes or replies.
Social Media has always been a funny enterprise and self magnification is a part of the game.
If you're to believe what they say, most people want to continuously look at cat photos or think about Epstein every ten minutes.

Doing a stir fry because at least once a week I need a VEGETABLE INFUSION.
-Like hooking up an IV from a tomato to my veins.
January 30, 2026 at 6:25 PM
Sometimes I wonder does he really WRITE these things or does he rant them angrily into microphone and have somebody post them.
I mean, it all amounts to a s**tload of diatribe and the best I can assume is he doesn't post them at all!

My new heat pump cut my December Electricity use down to 61% of the previous year.
-Although some of this may be attributed to weather and the fact that I was using space heaters, that's still a large savings.
January 30, 2026 at 5:52 PM
I don't think Xbox and PlayStation have ever confronted the fact that many people find the games overwhelming and complicated.
January 30, 2026 at 5:45 PM
That's like a Polock joke.
Enough so one of them can say yes.
January 30, 2026 at 5:38 PM
I don't know what Trump expects out of this, but it's about the worst PR move he could generate.
-Nobody is going to support the President over a harmless Black commentator.
January 30, 2026 at 5:30 PM
Not to make such a point about this being a "Black Movie" but Black audiences make a large share of the entire superhero genre.
It would make them more interesting if they changed not so much more the actors, but the scripts.
